Description

Région Gamma du Cygne (IC 1311 et environ de Ha)Cette zone de nébulosité appartient au complexe de la nébuleuse Gamma du Cygne. Il est composé principalement d'hydrogène, ce qui donne à la nébuleuse sa lueur rouge qui provient de l'émission de la raie H alpha à 656,3 nm. La nébuleuse n'est pas d'une luminosité uniforme, il y a en fait quelques nébuleuses sombres devant elle, la plus remarquable d'entre elles est Barnard 343, sur la partie inférieure gauche de l'image.IC 1311 est la désignation de l'amas d'étoiles galactiques qui a une luminosité de 13,1 magnitude, est situé à une distance d'environ 33 années-lumière (ce qui est très proche) et a une taille apparente de 5 minutes d'arc.
Toutes les taches individuelles de nébulosité ont des désignations dans le catalogue Lynd's Bright Nebulae (LBN) qui entoure B342, B343 B344

The Gamma Cygni Complex  (IC 1311 and Surrounding Nebulosity in Hα)

This area of nebulosity belongs to the complex of the Gamma Swan Nebula. It is composed mainly of hydrogen, which gives the nebula its red glow which comes from the emission of the H alpha line at 656.3 nm. The nebula is not uniformly bright, there are actually a few dark nebulae in front of it, the most notable of which is Barnard 343, on the lower left of the image.

IC 1311 is the designation of the galactic star cluster which has a luminosity of 13.1 magnitude, is located at a distance of about 33 light years (which is very close) and has an apparent size of 5 minutes of arc.
All individual patches of cloudiness have designations in Lynd's Bright Nebulae (LBN) catalog which surrounds B342, B343, B344
